Plain-English summary of the rules for using JobPort. Last updated 13 July 2026.
This is a template written to be honest and readable, not a substitute for legal advice. Before relying on it for a live product, have a qualified UK solicitor review it, particularly the liability and termination sections.
By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
You must be 18 or older and able to enter a binding contract. You must provide accurate information. Misrepresenting your identity, right to work, qualifications, or hiring authority is grounds for suspension or termination of your account.
Using JobPort as a candidate is free. Your profile is never public: an employer only sees it once you opt in to a specific opportunity, or you're shortlisted for one. You can pause your search at any time, which stops new matches without affecting conversations or interviews already in progress.
Employer accounts must be verified before posting job postings or messaging candidates. You agree to use candidate data only for genuine hiring purposes, to comply with the Equality Act 2010 and all other applicable UK employment and anti-discrimination law in how you write job postings and make hiring decisions, and not to contact candidates outside the platform using details obtained through it without their consent.
Using JobPort as an employer is free. We track interview-feedback deadlines and may suspend an account that repeatedly misses them; see your Company page for your current status.
Match scores and Necessary-requirement screening are produced automatically from the data both sides provide. Both candidates and employers can request a plain-English explanation of a specific score and contest a decision. See our Privacy Policy, section 4 and the "Ask about this decision" chat on any match.
You agree not to:
The platform is provided "as is". We don't guarantee any specific hiring or job-search outcome, and match scores are a decision-support tool, not a guarantee of suitability. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for losses arising from your use of the platform is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim, except where liability cannot be excluded by law (e.g. death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, repeatedly misses feedback deadlines, or is used fraudulently, with notice where reasonably possible.
We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after a change means you accept the update. Questions can be sent to support@jobport.app, or visit our Help page.
